Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Sushi Buddy ("we", "us", "our", or the "App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. Sushi Buddy is operated by Halmob ("Company").
By downloading, installing, or using Sushi Buddy, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Player names and profiles you enter in the App (stored locally on your device).
- Session and meal data (e.g., counts, timestamps, streaks, records) that you generate while using the App.
- Support communications if you contact us (e.g., email address, message content).
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Anonymous user identifier: We generate a random user ID stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device. This identifier is not linked to your Apple ID, email, or any personal information.
- Usage analytics: We collect non-identifying events (e.g., app opens, feature interactions, screens viewed) through Mixpanel to understand how the App is used and improve it.
- Subscription and purchase data: Managed through Adapty and Apple's App Store for premium features. We do not see or store your payment card details; Apple handles all transactions.
- Device information: iOS version, device model, app version, language, and time zone — used for diagnostics and analytics.
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address unless you voluntarily provide it.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location.
- We do not use tracking technologies to follow you across other apps or websites.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App.
- Save your progress (player profiles, streaks, records) on your device.
- Process subscription purchases and restore purchases via Adapty and the App Store.
- Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve features and user experience.
- Troubleshoot issues, diagnose crashes, and provide customer support.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Storage and Location
- On-device data: Player profiles, session history, and app settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up via iCloud (managed by Apple, not us).
- Anonymous identifier: Stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and sent to Adapty and Mixpanel to associate anonymous subscription and analytics data.
- Third-party servers: Adapty and Mixpanel may store data on servers located outside your country of residence.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — Payment processing, subscription management. Privacy Policy.
- Adapty — Subscription management and entitlement checks. Privacy Policy.
- Mixpanel — Anonymous product analytics. Privacy Policy.
These providers process limited data on our behalf under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data to any third party.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose information only in the following limited cases:
- Service providers (Adapty, Mixpanel) acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements such as a court order, subpoena, or lawful request by authorities.
- Business transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (you will be notified).
- With your consent for any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, KVKK, etc.), you may have the right to:

- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your data (you can delete local data by uninstalling the App; request anonymous-identifier deletion via email).

7. Children's Privacy
Sushi Buddy is intended for users aged 4 and older and is family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including:
- Secure Keychain storage for the anonymous user identifier.
- Encrypted HTTPS connections to all third-party services.
- Minimal data collection — we only collect what is necessary.
However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete the App or remove it manually.
- Analytics data (Mixpanel) is retained in aggregated, anonymous form according to Mixpanel's retention policies.
- Subscription data (Adapty) is retained as long as required for subscription management and tax/compliance obligations.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
