Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Halmob ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our Device Tracker mobile application ("App"). Device Tracker is a Bluetooth device recovery and safety assistant that helps you find your saved devices, distinguish them from unknown devices around you, and see where your phone last detected each device. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.

Information Collection and Use

Device Tracker is designed to work primarily on your device. Most of the data the App relies on — nearby Bluetooth signals and your saved devices — stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Information You Provide to Us

• Saved Devices: Names, labels, and notes you assign to Bluetooth devices you choose to save. This information is stored locally on your device.
• Preferences: Settings such as your selected finding goal, notification preferences, and appearance choices, stored locally on your device.
• Purchase Information: When you subscribe or make purchases through the App, payment information is processed by Apple's App Store, not by us directly.

Information Collected Automatically

• Bluetooth Scan Data: The App scans for nearby Bluetooth devices to estimate proximity and detect unknown devices. Signal readings are processed on your device to power the finding and detection features and are not sent to our servers.
• Location Data: If you grant location access, the App records the approximate location where your phone last detected a device so it can display it on the map. This is your phone's location at the time of detection, not the device's exact GPS position. Location data is stored on your device.
• Usage and Diagnostic Data: We may collect anonymous information about how you interact with the App, including features used, actions taken, app version, and crash and error reports, to help us improve the App.
• Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including device model, operating system version, and unique anonymous identifiers.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
• We do not collect the continuous GPS location or precise real-time position of your phone.
• We do not identify or profile the owners of unknown Bluetooth devices detected nearby.
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

The App may use third party services that collect information used to improve the App and manage subscriptions. Links to the privacy policies of the third-party service providers used by the App:

• Analytics and Crash Reporting: We use analytics and diagnostic tools to understand anonymous usage patterns and detect crashes so we can improve stability and performance.

Device Permissions

• Bluetooth: Used to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices, estimate proximity for finding mode, and detect unknown devices around you. The App cannot function without Bluetooth access.
• Location (When In Use): Used to record and display on the map where your phone last detected each device. Granting location access is optional; without it, the map and last-seen features are unavailable, but the rest of the App works normally.

Apple App Store Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Premium features are available through subscription. If you choose to subscribe in our iOS application, payments will be processed through your Apple ID account. The amount will be charged to your Apple ID account at the time of purchase confirmation.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is disabled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. The renewal cost will be clearly identified at that time.

You can manage or cancel your subscriptions by visiting your account settings in the App Store after purchase. If a free trial is available, any unused portion will be forfeited once a subscription is purchased.

To avoid being charged, ensure that auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the trial or subscription ends. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the billing cycle, after which your account will revert to the free plan, if available.

In some cases, when processing a refund request for in-app purchases, we may share certain usage data with Apple. This may include anonymized identifiers, usage duration, trial participation, and the extent to which features were used or consumed.

Data Storage and Security

• On-Device Storage: Your saved devices, labels, preferences, and last-seen locations are stored locally on your device.
• Security Measures: We value your trust in providing us your information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
• Data Retention: On-device data remains until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Anonymous analytics and diagnostic data are retained only as long as necessary to improve the App or as required by law.

Log Data

Whenever you use the App, in the case of an error we may collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Software, the time and date of your use, and other statistics.

This App may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

Protecting children is a priority. This App does not address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe that your child provided this kind of information, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to promptly remove such information from our records.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
